Terrible Trip to Highland Estates. Positive: We were timeshare owners for over 20 years and would go up at least four times a year. The pool area was what we enjoyed as you could use it throughout the year. This resort used to be called Carriage Hills. There was a check in area, workers always around and you could pick up the phone and call a maintenance person to look after an issue. It's sister resort just up the road is still run this way. This has all changed. Read below. By Negative: We knew that this resort was sold off and turned into unti ownership condominiums. We saw the posted picture of the studio room on the app. It was one reason we booked the room. We were quiet shocked when we got into the room. The couch in the picture shown is not the one we had. The decor was nice but the unit was very dark. Lacked lighting. Window coverings were very cheap looking. Here is a list of issues. 1. Door knob missing on door below sink. 2. The clock on the wall did not work, needs battery. 3. One of the lamps did not work as plug was damaged. 4.Only two glasses and one wine glass. 5. Kettle did not work. 6. Unit uses Roku as a tv service but you have to go to the side of the tv to turn it on for change volume. No tv converter around. 7. The worst thing was I went into the shower. The handle was broken and fell to the floor when I went to tun on the water. I showered at the pool area after this. 8. We were to get two pass keys to access the pool area. We had no keys when we got to our room. Took over a day to get ONE. Talked to other quests who had the same problem. Many people called out over the fence and asked if we could let them in. Same issue, no keys. I understand that it is hard to control this key system but this not a guest problem. It is the owner, hosts, issue to resolve. You go to a hotel or resort and they ask how many room keys do you need. If the guests take the keys home or forget to leave them. No big deal. Scan a new key. There is no one around to help this issue. This is the worst. 9. You can only raise you issues through bookings.com app. A rep would respond to try to help but it takes time. We got one card and a working kettle, but the other items are still not corrected. The rep tried their best but one reply we got was " I have over 70 customer's I'm dealing with. REALLY!!!!! 10. No housekeeping during the stay. You never have a opportunity to talk to the owner about your concerns.

I feel deceived and scammed by unethical representatives at Victoria Suites, at Horseshoe Valley Positive: The entire experience was stressful, disappointing and annoying as the Host Contact and Management failed to respond to me on the phone as requested. They only communicate by text, they did not offer any reasonable resolution to the deplorable conditions in the Studio Suite. We were left outside, waiting in the hot sun, in the parking lot for an hour and a half. The Host and Management expected us to accept this unacceptable situation and wait till they sent a cleaning team to the dirty suite? We left as they breached the contract and booking agreement. Unacceptable! Management at this resort are now pretending, and claiming we stayed, accepted and used the accommodation as it is apparent they are unwilling to provide my requested refund. We Did Not Stay and I will pursue this for a Legitimate Refund to ensure other travellers are not Scammed. Negative: Keys were Not provided, only codes and No Ability to speak with Management at the location to discuss problems, even when I provided my cell phone number and contacted them several times. The suite was not available at 4.00 p.m. for check in as specified and required in the contract/agreement with Booking.com, myself and the Victoria, service provider at Horseshoe Valley. I was unable to enter the Studio Suite or accept the extremely filthy conditions inside the booked suite 2093, with food on the floors in various locations, the dirty bed, entire dirty suite, including dirty table, used wet towels on the bathroom floor and counter, dirty sofa, windows and kitchen area. The Suite was dark, even with drapes open and not like the photos posted on website. This was clearly deception, misrepresentation and constitutes fraud for payment of unacceptable accommodation conditions. We were left out side, waiting in the Parking Lot, in the hot sun, when I received a text 35 minutes later stating the Host/Service provider was sending cleaning staff to the suite in this large complex. Not Acceptable! No Alternatives Offered! No parking spot numbered or allocated for the booked Suite 2093. Photos & Witnesses will be provided. Carol Murphy, Oakville, Ontario, Canada

It was ok , should have paid more attention to what was missing in the rental . We had to buy cleaning supplies extra TP Positive: The property was beautiful and quite Negative: Parking was confusing no actual designated spot . If you left to go somewhere your parking spot was taken by some. The kitchenette cabinets and drawers were broken and no supplies for cleaning or garbage bags , I had to buy my own. Coffee mugs and plates had chips in them and not enough towels or any place to wash them . Good thing I brought my own . The thermostat wasn’t easy to work didn’t maintain temperature that was set .

We had a great time and definitely we will book again in their place Positive: The property is big. The washroom is clean with complete amenities.Bed is comfortable. The owner/admin was very accommodating. There’s a lot of things to do like,trekking,swimming,go to gym and bbq. the clubhouse has a place for kids to play and for the adults there’s gym and swimming pool. Negative: No extra plastic for trash. Basic utensils are not available like scissors and thongs.

A cozy staycation with great amenities & responsive host! Positive: I loved how comfy the mattress was, and that the apartment was spacious enough for me to organize my belongings, and the amenities (keurig Timmie’s hot chocolate/hot tub & sauna) were spectacular! Negative: It wasn’t as clean as I’d hope for. The floor could have been swept better and I noticed a mark on the duvet. Other than that it was perfect for what I needed!
